One-Stop-Shop opens at Port of Manila

In support of government’s ease of doing business agenda, listed Asian Terminals Inc. (ATI) in partnership with port authorities launched on Monday a state-of-the-art customer service center serving as a One-Stop-Shop for cargo transactions at the Port of Manila (POM).

The fully air-conditioned business center, located at the Bureau of Custom (BOC) – POM Building, consolidates in one location ATI’s recent technology innovations, its newly renovated billing office, a customer helpdesk as well as the Verification, Receipting and Monitoring Unit of the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA)-NCR South, for convenient and seamless transactions for Manila South Harbor shippers.

The One-Stop-Shop is equipped with touchscreen kiosks that enable customers to monitor the status of cargoes and vessels on a real-time basis, schedule cargo deliveries through TABS (terminal appointment booking system), print gate-pass, settle port fees through online and conventional options, among others.

“This is another pioneering undertaking from ATI as we continue to deliver faster and smarter trade solutions for our customers and stakeholders,”ATI executive vice president William Khoury said during the inaugural.

“We thank BOC, PPA and our industry partners for their continued support and for making this One-Stop-Shop a reality,” Khoury added.

At the same event, ATI officials handed over a smart tablet with specialized apps to BOC commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero that will further enable his office to expeditiously discharge its control and supervision functions over cargoes passing through ATI ports 24/7.
