ATI Batangas runs for Sta. Clara school cause

Dockworkers and office-based staff of Asian Terminals Inc.’s (ATI) Batangas Port were up by dawn one August weekend to burn some calories for the benefit of a neighboring public school.
Nearly 100 ATI employees joined parents, students, teachers, law enforcers and other community stakeholders in a charity Zumba and Fun Run event to help raise funds for a new canteen at Sta. Clara Elementary School in Batangas City.
Due to a fire that hit the local institute in 2014, the school's storage room and canteen were converted into classrooms, leaving over 1,500 students without a dedicated mess hall.
Runners completed a three-kilometer loop along nearby roads amid occasional water salutes by the local fire department and splatters of colorful dyes by event organizers.
The event was spearheaded by the Sta. Clara Elementary School Governing Council, comprised of the students’ parents and faculty, with the support of ATI and local community officials.
