The City of Manila recognized major trade enabler Asian Terminals Inc. (ATI) as the Philippine capital’s top taxpayer and development partner.

In ceremonies commemorating the city’s 448th founding anniversary, former president and Manila mayor Joseph Estrada lauded ATI and other corporations for serving as Manila’s staunch partners in progress through taxes they dutifully contribute to the city coffers.

Representing ATI’s senior management, Steve Realuyo, assistant vice president for South Harbor operations said: “These awards express ATI’s commitment as a responsible corporate citizen, especially in helping the city government improve its public services for all Manileños through the taxes it dutifully remit in the spirit of good governance.”

ATI was named the city’s top real property taxpayer and sixth highest business tax contributor for fiscal year 2018.

ATI operates the Manila South Harbor, one of two international port gateways into Manila, which keeps vital economic goods flowing in the Philippine supply-chain.
